  • Hakone Shrine & Kuzuryu Shrine

    Hakone Shrine & Kuzuryu Shrine

    A spiritual hot spot full of nature. This shrine is known for its matchmaking powers. Kuzuryu Shrine is a small shrine that has been entrusted to the care of Hakone Shrine and has many female visitors praying for a good match.

  • Ashinoko Lake

    Ashinoko Lake

    One of the places with best views in Hakone. Visitors can enjoy seasonal views such as young spring leaves, fireworks festivals, and autumn-colored leaves alongside Mt. Fuji. It’s also a popular fishing spot for black basses and rainbow trouts.

  • The Hakone Open-Air Museum

    The Hakone Open-Air Museum

    It’s an outdoor museum with the view of the great nature of Hakone. About 120 sculptures are on permanent exhibit. Visitors can walk in nature or look at sculptures. Take a moment to fill your heart.

  • Owakudani Valley

    Owakudani Valley

    Owakudani Valley was created when Mt. Hakone last erupted about 3,000 years ago. It’s one of the places where visitors can feel the great power of nature even to this day. The local specialty, Kuro Tamago, (meaning black egg) is a must-have.

  • Okada Museum of Art

    Okada Museum of Art

    A museum built in 2013, next to Hakone Kowaki-en Yunessun. It displays a wide range of artworks, mainly Japanese, Chinese, and Korean arts, from the ancient to modern times. There is a large garden and a foot bath cafe with 100% natural hot spring, allowing visitors to get an experience unique to Hakone.

◆ By Car

From Tokyo IC, take Tomei Expressway to Atsugi IC, take Odawara-Atsugi Road to Hakoneguchi IC, then take Hakone Shindo and get off at Ashinoko Taikan IC. Take National Route 1 to Hotel Ra Kuun.

◆ By Train

Get on Romancecar from Shinjuku Station and get off at Yumoto Station. About 30 minutes by bus. Get off at Futagochaya bus stop.
From Tokyo Station or Osaka, take Shinkansen and get off at Odawara Station. About 40 minutes by bus. Get off at Futagochaya bus stop.
